Welcome Home Ranch is planned to fill the desperate need for temporary and permanent rehabilitative residential care for youth.
They will live in homes with House Parents, giving an atmosphere of family security. A multi-purpose building will accommodate activities to teach life skills, social skills and an all around quality education. As a public service organization we will encourage the youth to reach out to their community and contribute their time and energies in positive ways. Welcome Home Ranch will be a working ranch with farming and animals giving the youth a feeling of real accomplishment.
KCI is unique in that we are community based and will provide services as a support team for the entire family.

- 75% of the youth in detention are being held for non-violent offenses like running away from home and skipping school…and are detained for lack of residential placement facilities.
- Twice as much money is spent incarcerating youth as is spent in Community-Based placement centers where the concentration is on rehabilitation rather than punishment.
- Youth who have been incarcerated are three times more likely to re-offend than youth who are placed in alternative residential facilities.
- 75% of youth who are released from juvenile detention return within one year.
- On any given day here in Georgia, over 2,500 children are locked up
- Jail is no place to call home! These kids need a better Alternative!
