1. I first
saw the Fast's unloading their car as I was escorted in cuffs into
the Marietta youth center after pleading guilty to an adult charge
one month after I turned sixteen years old. Instantly the Fast's
embraced me as if I were their own grandchild, emotionally carrying
me in a way that made me feel accepted and expected to succeed.
They were always impressed with whatever I made in their art class
they provided for the kids. They were the only, ONLY, thing I missed
when I left the detention center. It took me almost a full year
to find them again, and over five years later I still keep in regular
touch with them. They are like family to me, and I would trust them
with my life. Because of them I have continued to seek that success
they believed I could achieve. I am only 21, yet I will graduate
next year with my SECOND college degree, as President of my university's
student government. All it takes for a messed up kid to change is
love...and within those walls only the Fasts blessed me with it.
They have created a future success and a current role-model to many
troubled teens. I cannot explain the humbled feeling I have as I
write this ..... K.
2.
It's hard
to find the right words to say what KCI has meant in my life and
now my family's lives as well. Joel and Lorraine Fast began ministering
to me when I was a troubled young woman. That was a long time ago.
I am a single mom now and have three small children. Through the
years they have done so much to show God's love to my family and
me. They have helped me with a lot of things that I have needed,
but the most priceless gift has been their love and prayers. God
is so good to all of us and we are supposed to be a reflection of
His glory. Few people understand this and live it as well as the
Fasts. I am honored to call them my mentors and my friends.....L.

Thanks
to Joel and Lorraine Fast and KCI a young man named David has a
home and a bright future. David has emotional and physical limitations
and had nowhere to go and no family to care for him. However, through
the love and hard work of Joel and Lorraine and KCI he now has a
home with people who care for him and the opportunity to live the
productive and happy life that he deserves. David is just one example
of the many lives touched by KCI. God bless you as you continue
to touch and improve the lives of so many...Mrs. Pam Chastain
4. On behalf
of the staff and residents at the MRYDC, we would like to extend
to both Joel and Lorraine and KCI a "Great Big Thanks". We appreciate
you for your tireless hours of support, hard work and dedication
displayed during the several years that you worked with the staff
and the residents at the detention center as chaplains and in the
art class that you provided. Both of you worked with a loyal commitment
and were truly a heaven sent. We can't thank you enough and will
be forever grateful to you....Captain Jevern Alonza.
